Harry Stedman at London Collections Men
Back in June this year, we were gearing up to be a part of The Designer Showrooms at London Collections Men where we were showcasing our Spring Summer ‘17 collection. We met so many great brands, bloggers, press and buyers over the 4 days and were inspired by the drive and determination we shared with a lot of people within the industry.
Our SS17 collection gives a nod to the Beat Generation of the 1950s, with functional, utilitarian clothing that’s built to stand the test of time. The attitude of exploration, discovery and adventure, being beat, everything going to the beat of the jazz and rock n roll of 50s new york, fresh off the ships from war battered Liverpool, the beat to keep, the beat of the heart, being beat and not letting anything stop you.
SS17 focuses on the staples in every man’s wardrobe and the garments that are a necessity for a summer of adventures. Key pieces include lightweight cotton raincoats and anoraks with bold black/white striped and checked shirts and t-shirts. There will be an introduction of new trouser silhouettes in hemp and cotton/linen blends along with new textured sweats.
To top off our time at LCM we hosted our very first after party at The Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch. There was a live 50s swing dance act ft. pieces from the Harry Stedman Collection plus an all vinyl DJ set from Alex Gromadzki (Sketch, Nobu, LouLou’s).
Thanks to Matt Renew of GotShot.tv for producing our roundup video. Watch it below to catch a glimpse of how both The Designer Showrooms and our after party went.
