The Windmill Street Diary: Vol Nº2 "Columbia Knit T-Shirts"

Windmill Street Diary There's been excitement in the studio this week with the arrival of our first production run of tees. These US-made garments arrived direct from their birthplace in Portland, Oregon - produced by the talented folks at Columbia Knit. The round-neck tees are made from a relatively heavy, robust cotton and feature a slimmer, fitted body versus a perhaps more boxy fit typical of yesteryear. In our first run we have opted for two of the most traditional colours - white and grey marl - both of which are perfect for wearing on their own, or under another shirt. As with our oxford cotton button downs, tees will form a core product in the Harry Stedman range. We are currently working on tees in a number of funky stripe fabrics to compliment the plain classics (more on that soon). Is it James Dean? Marlon Brando perhaps? No its Colin, in character (we are not quite sure which character), modelling the white tee with our blue drizzler-style jacket. As our official product ambassador, Colin will be wearing our clothes out and about on the streets of London and promoting the brand, testing the way the products feel and getting feedback from people about them. Judging from these pics we might want to reconsider our choice of ambassador. And without the jacket...a mix of hello sailor & slightly moody!
